  • How do cosmeceutical products work?

  • Cellulite creams are designed to dissolve fat and smooth the skin and many of them contain aminophylline. This ingredient’s effect on cellulite may be due to a narrowing of the blood vessels and by forcing water from the skin. There have been a number of scientific measurements showing a reduction of the girth of the thighs when using certain cosmeceutical anti-cellulite creams.

  • How does mesotherapy work?

  • Mesotherapy is a micro-injection of substances such as caffeine, aminophylline phosphatidiylcholine, carnitine, yohimbinem, Ginkgo biloba, Vitamin B-12 and B complex into the subcutaneous tissue (mesoderm). It is used to dissolve fat in the femoral thighs and buttocks regions, as well as the hip, and abdomen.

  • How does Endermologie work?

  • This is a cellulite treatment involving massaging, rolling, and sucking at the skin’s surface to stimulate the breakup of stubborn deposits of cellulite. Endermologie increases circulation, which helps break down unwanted fat cells and cellulite. As the thickness of the subcutaneous fat layer decreases, blood flow and lymphatic drainage increase, facilitating the elimination of excess fluid and fat cells. In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration has approved Endermologie in the reduction of cellulite’s appearance and for body contouring.

  • How does Radiofrequency work?

  • Deep tissue radiofrequency is the strongest and most effective radiofrequency technology for skin tightening. It is also the most comfortable treatment and is guaranteed that with repeated treatments to become semi-permanent (although nothing in the human body is permanent). Radiofrequency is introduced into the skin by an applicator that produces heat in the inner layer. Heating affects the superficial and deep skin tissues, causing immediate collagen tightening.  Radiofrequency creates a concentration of the body's collagen fibres and encourages the quicker regeneration of the collagen and elastin that we are losing at all times. This results in a firmer, tighter skin. The America Food and Drug Administration has approved radiofrequency for reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

  • How does Ultrasonic Cavitation work?

  • Probes are placed on the skin in areas of cellulite, during Ultrasonic Cavitation treatment. These implements emit ultrasonic waves through the skin which stimulates the fat cells to break down. Ultrasound waves specifically target the unwanted fat cells, disrupting them to a liquid state. This fatty liquid (triglycerides released by damaged cells) will leave your body naturally once this has been achieved. Ultrasonic cavitation has been approved in European Union for body contouring.

  • How does High Intensive Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) work?

One of the world's best cellulite treatment methods, HIFU is a non-laser and non-light based aesthetic device. It helps stimulate new collagen growth in the dermis and fat layer. It has been found to work best for skin tightening and anti-cellulite treatment. Although this procedure is not painless, it is bearable. During the procedure, there is a sensation of a dull tingle. Following the procedure, the skin will colour, or glow, and there will be a slightly irritated feeling for a few hours. This works by stimulating the collagen in the dermis and by breaking down fibres in deep fat tissue. The American Food and Drug Administration has cleared HIFU for use as a noninvasive waist circumference reduction procedure.

  • Does camouflage work on cellulite?

  • Cellulite tends to be less noticeable on darker skin. Obviously, if you have light skin applying a self-tanner may make the bumps and dimples on your thighs less noticeable when they are revealed on the beach or in sports apparel.

  • What does cellulite look like?

  • The primary symptom of cellulite is dimpling or depressions in the skin when standing or sitting. Other markers are bulging, pitting, and plaque-like deformations.

  • What treatments are available?

  • We house a wide variety of anti-cellulite treatments such as cosmeceutical products, mesotherapy, endermologie, radiofrequency, ultrasonic cavitation, and HIFU.
