Hair Loss Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is has been found to be very effective for the majority of individuals as a hair rejuvenation and restoration technique.  It is non-invasive and is the process of introducing pro-active bespoke determined micro-injections just below the epidermis into targeted tissues. Mesotherapy stimulates the hair follicles with the direct injection of a solution that can contain a wide range of minerals, vitamins. The injections are approximately 1-2 mm deep and can relieve a number of hair loss symptoms and/or ailments. Mesotherapeutic treatments for hair loss (as well as for the skin) have been used with great success in Europe and the United States for some years. It is an extremely safe and virtually painless treatment when administered by a trained professional. Because there is no “wounding,” there is no need for a dressing.  Any pain experienced by most clients is minimal, therefore no anaesthesia is required. There is no downtime and immediately following a treatment, you can just go back to your daily routine.

FAQs:

  • How does hair Mesotherapy work?

  • The solution injected provides a precise and unique formula to the targeted areas exactly it is needed. Hair follicles require extra nourishment in order to grow and survive. The excess of DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is neutralised, and the blood circulation is stimulated. The solution will be made up of a variety of minerals, vitamins, amino acids and co-enzymes that have been found to help restore and rejuvenate hair. These ingredients will be tailored to each patient's individual needs.

  • How long time does a treatment take?

  • The treatments are quite straightforward and rarely take more than 10-30 minutes, depending on the size and location of the area being addressed.

  • How many session would be needed?

  • We normally see successful hair growth, or evidence of successful stimulation after a minimum of 10 sessions. Our usual recommendation is for an aggressive approach, meaning a course of treatments every two weeks for the first two or three months. The frequency then gradually decreases and the results of hair rejuvenation become evident already after 2-3 months. In order to keep the results maintenance treatments are needed generally once every 2 to 3 months.

  • Does it last?

  • In order to maintain their new hair growth, we advise all clients to continue to receive top-up treatments once every two to three months.

  • Are there any side effects?

  • The most common side effect of Mesotherapy is a slight bruising, which we find usually resolves over one week.  As with other treatments which can cause minor trauma to skin tissue, we recommend that our clients begin a course of the homeopathic supplement Arnica a day or so in advance. It can be found in most health supply chain stores and chemists. Arnica can be taken orally and/or applied topically as an ointment.  It has been found that bruising subsides considerably faster, if it occurs at all, with the use of this supplement. Some patients have experienced temporary soreness, but this will also subside within 24-48 hours.
